Bentley West Primary School is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Learning Mentor. This role is integral to our school's mission of providing a supportive and nurturing environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and carers to understand and address issues effectively.
- Identify barriers to learning for children and use a range of techniques and expertise knowledge to support children in overcoming these.
- Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring support to identified students, helping them overcome obstacles and develop key life skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and SLT to devise and implement targeted interventions for students facing challenges.
- Contribute to the school's behaviour policy, promoting positive behaviour and resolving conflicts when necessary.
- Organise and deliver workshops or training sessions for parents, focusing on the importance of parental engagement.
Safeguarding
At Bentley West Primary School, the safety and wellbeing of our students is paramount. You will be expected to uphold our robust safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare of all children under your care. Supporting the SLT to manage all safeguarding concerns and escalating them to external agencies if needed.
