We are seeking an Education Technical Lead to spearhead the development and technical excellence of our web-based Education Hub. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will serve as the key technical advisor and translator for both our network operations and digital enablement teams, bridging the gap between technical and non‑technical stakeholders. You will ensure that our system architecture, technical strategy, and execution enable the Education Hub to deliver on its roadmap and long‑term vision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical execution of the Education Hub platform, ensuring features are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with roadmap priorities.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical health, triaging backend issues, diagnosing data gaps, and working with development teams to scope and resolve problems.
  • Translate product requirements into actionable technical specifications, including architectural designs, acceptance criteria, and detailed implementation plans.
  • Champion modern software development practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, version control, and rigorous QA processes to ensure high‑quality releases.
  • Collaborate across teams to integrate third‑party SaaS tools, APIs, and services, ensuring seamless functionality and system performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands‑on web development experience.
  • Senior front‑end engineer experience with CMS‑driven organizations, headless architectures, and component libraries.
  • Full‑stack engineer experience in UI/digital experience, with strong command of APIs, architecture, and UX considerations.
  • Deep expertise in modern software development practices, including CI/CD, version control, and API integrations.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, and CSS; experience with CMS platforms (WordPress or similar) is a plus, particularly in decoupled/headless architectures.
  • Hands‑on experience in technical evaluation and integration of third‑party tools and services.
  • Experience working in high‑regulation or safeguarded user environments is a benefit.
  • Must be able to work flexibly across UK and US time zones to collaborate with global teams.
