The Maximo Consultant II joining our team will align with business and IT stakeholders to translate business issues and requirements into best practice processes, blueprint, and functional specifications.
This role is responsible for working on complex challenges to ensure deliverable quality and effective communication between technical implementation teams, while advising clients on their asset management or EAM system maturity.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance throughout the lifecycle of a project, including development, testing, deployment of technical solutions, and ongoing support.
- Configure and customize client solutions, applying knowledge of workflows, system configuration, and customizations to develop asset management technical solutions.
- Deliver multiple projects that support complex and demanding requirements, ensuring timescales are met.
- Manage the facilitation and documentation of system design workshops, process reengineering workshops, and the creation of project and system documentation, including process maps, system requirements, data standards, and training materials.
- Act as an advocate for the end‑user within the project delivery team.
- Assist with coordinating data modelling and data collection activities.
- Oversee development, testing, and deployment of technical solutions.
- Take responsibility for smaller work packages, as assigned by the Consultant Team Lead.
- Provide client support and training.
- Deliver high‑quality, value‑added results for both client and internal projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or relevant training and/or experience.
- Appropriate professional software accreditations (e. g. IBM Maximo professional certifications).
- 3+ years’ experience delivering projects in Maximo across multiple industries.
- Experience providing support to customers or end users.
- Knowledge of project methodologies advantageous (e. g. Agile and Waterfall).
- Understanding and knowledge of databases: DB2, Oracle, MSSQL.
- Experience with programming languages: Linux, Solaris, Java Script, Python, SQL (advantageous).
- Desirable certifications: Agile DSDM Practitioner, Maximo Mobile, Maximo Industry Solutions ACM, Maximo for Aviation & Transportation, BIRT Report Writing, Maximo Integration Framework, Maximo Application Framework.
- Understanding of IT systems and cloud hosting platforms (AWS, Azure).
