Poland - Office base/ Hybrid – Travel to our Warsaw office is required once a week. Travel may be required to customer sites, either locally or internationally. The amount of travel may be as much as 25% per year.

Position Summary: We are seeking a talented individual to serve as a Senior Consultant (Technical) working with the Bentley AssetWise Linear Analytics product. Bentley provides professional services to customers of the Bentley AssetWise software suite used primarily by global railroad owners and managers of rail infrastructure assets. Our purpose is to advance the world’s infrastructure for better quality of life. This is a customer-facing role where you will be utilising a breadth of skills. You will liaise with Bentley customers to clarify requirements and desired project outcomes, recommending appropriate solution(s) including Bentley products and integrations whilst delivering consulting expertise for the Asset Wise Linear Analytics (AWLA) product.

Our Senior Consultants work closely with our customers throughout the implementation, configuration, and deployment phases of a project. They provide product training along with the design, build, and support of reliable product configurations within the Bentley AssetWise Suite using bespoke Bentley tools and scripting languages. A background in Geospatial or Linear Referencing Systems would be a huge advantage to upskilling in our product areas. This role will be supporting global projects, working with colleagues, teams, and projects spread throughout all regions.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Develop end-to-end AssetWise Linear Analytics configurations, including requirements clarification, design, configuration, solution implementation, test management, and testing, documentation writing.
  • Lead technical work and collaborate with the project team.
  • Liaise with the user and provide resolution to technical issues.
  • Design, write and maintain AWLA analytical scripts.
  • Design and quality test code to achieve bug-free development.
  • Understand and use common data collection methods and protocols.
  • Work with linear data from different systems (data profiling, transformation, import, and visualization).
  • Manage testing and test project deliverables.
  • Write technical documentation to support user-specific Linear Analytics implementations.
  • Configure development and test environments.
  • Provide Linear Analytics training courses for standard product and customized features, including training material preparation.
  • Demonstrate the Linear Analytics product and configuration to Linear Analytics users.
  • Work closely with the users to assist in resolving product and configuration issues.
  • Work with and assist sales in growing profitable business and bringing new projects to the services teams.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's (graduate) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Rail Engineering, or relevant industry-related discipline.
  • 8 or more years of relevant experience in consulting or software development, ideally including the use of relational databases.
  • Experience with scripting and object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, C++/C#, SQL, etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex processes, software issues, and software configuration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, engineers, and subject matter experts.
  • Leadership skills; attitude: lead by example, be assertive, inspire confidence, keep an open perspective and open to taking up new challenges and managing change.
  • Ability to direct others to participate as part of a cross-regional/functional team and work with business partners and vendors.

Experience of the below would be highly advantageous:

  • Linear assets and linear referencing systems.
  • Experience with the rail industry.
  • General rail knowledge would be an advantage, in particular knowledge of: Railway network data (track, waymarks, linear assets).
  • Rail asset condition measurements from track recording vehicles.
  • Use of relational databases.
  • Experience with Power BI.
