Opportunity for an experienced and driven Avionics / Systems Engineer to join an ambitious aerospace company specialising in UAVs and Autonomous Systems as their Head of Avionics.

Role:

  • Leading the Avionics / Control Systems Engineering team, and the lifecycle of design from concept to delivery
  • Manage the integration of new architectural system designs into existing systems/sub-systems
  • Delivery of navigation, autopilot, sensors and safety systems
  • Experience and working knowledge of PID Controllers, C++, ArduPilot, PX4, RS232 and RS485
  • Evaluation and integration of new emerging technologies

Person:

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced and agile environment
  • Excellent communication and management skills
  • Commitment to innovation, and passionate about technology
  • Ideally, a proven background with UAVs, although other autonomous vehicle experience will be considered
