Purpose of the Role
Join us as an Electrical Analysis Engineer where you’ll analyse a wide range of complex electrical issues across both manufacturing series and pre-series production lines. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving cross-functional collaboration to ensure the precision of the electrical build story and seamless delivery to takt – bringing your engineering insight, manufacturing expertise, and problem-solving mindset to every challenge. Reporting to the Functional Manager your main responsibilities include:
- Analysing reported issues and identify areas of responsibility, containment requirements and fix timings
- Supporting Production to ensure all electrical processes are robust and meet the required cost, quality, and timing targets
- Supporting project work through vehicle development and commissioning activities during the Pre-Series phases, using engineering tools
- Consulting with stakeholders to plan and prioritise ensuring all targets are met
- Following and adhere to existing process documentation, and update information if changes occur
- Using knowledge and experience to determine the most efficient way of carrying out tasks, ensuring completion in line with customer requirements
About The Team
The Electrical Problem Solving Team covers all electrical based issues and faults reported by the business from pre series to end of life. The team sits within the Launch Quality Centre which spans much of a vehicle’s product cycle; influencing early product design, through to building pre-series vehicles and on to problem solving until end of life. It is responsible for driving launch performance and series improvements.
About You – Skills And Experience
- Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on experience using 8D or similar root cause analysis methodologies
- Experience in vehicle electronics and commissioning, including testing and diagnostics
- Demonstrable experience in the application of vehicle architecture
- A good understanding of manufacturing build and vehicle assembly processes
- Experience in an automotive production environment
- Ability to use Microsoft packages, including Excel and Word
- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship
