We are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our team in Ayr, offering a salary of £28,000 per annum. The role involves supporting the Transport Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the Ayr Cross Dock. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7.

The successful candidate will assist the Transport Manager in managing the Ayr Distribution Centre, with previous experience in home delivery and transport office operations required. Warehouse experience is preferred.

Daily Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting a safe and compliant Cross Dock and Transport operation
  • Ensuring processes are followed on-site and on the road
  • Managing fleet, equipment, and resourcing levels to meet demand
  • Leading by example, communicating effectively, and embodying company values
  • Focusing on customer service and performance improvement
  • Providing innovative solutions for performance enhancement
  • Coaching and mentoring team members
  • Collaborating with the Site Operations Manager to improve efficiency
  • Supporting performance reviews and objective setting
  • Organising maintenance for MHE and vehicles
  • Managing driver hours in compliance with legislation
