We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor in Dagenham, offering £32,000 per annum, to support the Site Operations Manager at the Dagenham Distribution Centre. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in home delivery, working within a transport office, and preferably some warehouse experience.
Working hours: 40 hours per week, with shifts between 6am and 11pm.
The Operations Supervisor will assist in managing the daily operations of the Dagenham Distribution Centre, ensuring efficiency and compliance. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting a safe and compliant Cross Dock and Transport operation
- Ensuring adherence to processes on site and on the road
- Managing Cross Dock operations, fleet, equipment, and resources to meet demand
- Leading by example and communicating company values effectively
- Focusing on customer service and team performance to enhance NPS
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Coaching and mentoring team members, planning talent development
- Collaborating with the Site Operations Manager to optimize procedures
- Overseeing maintenance of MHE and vehicles in line with legal standards
- Managing driver hours according to legislation, with knowledge of transport laws and planning
