Essential Skills and Licences for 7.5T Furniture Delivery Drivers
- Valid UK Driving Licence (Category C1) for 7.5T vehicles is mandatory
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card required
- Prior home delivery experience, ideally involving furniture or large household goods
- Comfortable with the delivery, assembly, and installation of furniture in customer homes
- Outstanding customer service skills – engaging, professional, and approachable

Typical Duties and Responsibilities for Home Delivery Drivers
- Operate a 7.5T vehicle safely and efficiently to carry out scheduled home deliveries across allocated routes
- Deliver, assemble, and position beds, mattresses, and other furniture items in customer homes, ensuring care and respect for each property
- Provide a friendly, polite, and professional service that always places the customer first
- Liaise and coordinate closely with your delivery colleague to ensure safe handling and accurate completion of every order
- Record delivery details using PDAs or handheld devices and complete basic paperwork as required
- Regularly complete vehicle checks and keep your delivery vehicle clean and tidy

Requirements for the Role
- Minimum age 21 (due to insurance requirements)
- Right to work in the UK
- Strong track record in professional driving (7.5T vehicle or similar)

- Experience using handheld delivery devices is an advantage
