We’re recruiting a Buying Assistant to support our buying team in sourcing products that help our customers enjoy the best night’s sleep. This is a hands‑on, office‑based role with opportunities to be involved in supplier relationships, product administration and range maintenance.

The job:
- Support the buying team with purchase ordering, price comparisons and supplier administration.
- Maintain accurate product records, specifications and cost information in buying systems.
- Work with suppliers to manage lead times, stock availability and quality issues.
- Assist with range reviews, seasonal launches and product lifecycle tasks.
- Prepare regular reports and maintain data to support commercial decisions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across merchandising, supply chain and stores to ensure products are delivered to plan.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier performance improvements.
Who do we want?
Essential:
- Previous experience in a buying, merchandising or administrative role within retail or a related sector.
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build effective supplier and internal relationships.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or buying systems (desirable).
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the beds, furniture or homewares market.
- Experience working with product specifications, costings and margin analysis.
- Experience of working with international suppliers and basic understanding of import processes.
