Asmall Hall is located on Asmall Lane on the outskirts of Ormskirk. It is a beautiful 17th Century Manor House, set in acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, giving the feeling of tranquility and peacefulness. Only 5 minutes from Ormskirk town centre and 15 minutes from Southport. Since the change of ownership, late 2016, Asmall Hall is in the process of being fully refurbished, providing a refreshing and revitalised environment for our residents and employees. Our dedicated team of care professionals have been focusing on bringing the level of care up to the high standards expected of the Group.
The Role
At Asmall Hall, we are searching for a new Healthcare Assistant to join our team. You will be offering person‑centred care and support to our residents to make sure they feel safe, secure and content. As a Healthcare Assistant you will:
- Provide assistance, personal care, activities and companionship to residents
- Be alert to resident’s needs, health and well-being
- Ensure clients are treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve at all times
- Work with residents and families to deliver tailored care to each individual
- Assist with mealtimes, ensuring that our clients receive their individual dietary requirements, whilst promoting their independence
- Take an active role in identifying the changing needs of our clients and realise the importance of maintaining accurate documentation

Your Skills
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience and knowledge of Dementia, with an understanding of the varying behaviours and how it can affect their everyday lives
- Be willing to work towards NVQ 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care
- Have good communication skills and literacy skills
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Be a team player
- Have the ability to use initiative
Qualifications
None required, but increased rate of pay if you hold a relevant NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification. Experience within the care sector is preferred but not essential.
