Are you a dynamic Senior Architect with at least 5 years experience and an innovative portfolio? Are you looking to gain experience across a range of UK and global projects? Benoy’s Aviation Team is seeking a creative and experienced Senior Architect to join them.
As a Senior Architect, you will lead mid-scale, or aspects of large-scale architectural projects through all aspects of design and development. In return, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, structured career path and a fun and sociable company culture.
What we’re looking for:
- You are a talented designer, with a portfolio that showcases great creativity and innovative thinking.
- You have experience of successfully delivering aviation projects through all work stages.
- You have experience managing small teams.
- With strong organisational and supervisory skills, you have a proven ability to manage projects and people to deliver great results.
- A strong communicator, you can effectively engage internal and external stakeholders.
- You are proficient in computer applications commonly used within your discipline – Revit and SketchUp are preferred.
- You are degree qualified in a related design field or hold equivalent certification.

Key Responsibilities:
- Delivers high quality design and/or technical work, engaging others with their creative and innovative thinking.
Project Management:
- Demonstrates a detailed understanding of the design process and project brief, coordinating the preparation of the project deliverables and other activities related to the project development.
- Takes responsibility for quality control and supervision of project deliverables.
- Coordinates and integrates the work of external contractors, suppliers and professionals.
Team Management:
- Role models Benoy’s values and contributes towards a collaborative environment in which innovation is encouraged and best practice shared.
- Ability to work effectively with others to develop and resolve project issues.
- Ability to make complex decisions, weighing up a range of factors and implications.
- Builds a network across the business and seeks leadership opportunities by directing and supporting junior team members.
Client Relationships:
- Develops effective relationships with clients and consultants.
- Operates independently in daily engagement with clients and stakeholders.
- Provides support to senior team members with key client presentations and represents Benoy in meetings as required.
Budget Control:
- Takes responsibility for aspects of the project budget and liaises with stakeholders to ensure delivery.
- Seeks to develop a working understanding of cost control, fee charging and project finance, and considers how project fees are maximised without threat to client relationship and repeat work.
