The Landscape Director leads a multi-disciplinary team of 25-30 to deliver world-class projects across the UK and overseas, that exceed clients’ expectations and achieve optimum financial results. Alongside a primary remit to further grow the client base, this role will also develop and implement a strategy to elevate design quality and creativity, building the capability of our technical team in EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial and Business Performance
- Achieve personal financial performance objectives
- Maintain good financial disciplines personally and monitor and manage the same for the team
- Create project plans, costings and fee structures for client work
- Monitor and take action on client debt
- Monitor and take any necessary action on internal cost controls
- People Management, Leadership and Team Development
- Act as a leader, role-modelling the values of the business and setting an example in terms of work ethic and personal conduct
- Create, organise and energise high performing teams, encouraging individuals to push the boundaries of their own team roles
- Manage and delegate work to teams and individuals at the right level to deliver projects profitably

About You
- Has worked in an international design firm servicing global clients
- Has experience of successfully leading and managing a team across large mixed use projects
- Has a proactive approach to client management, with a proven track record of engaging potential clients and winning significant work
- Commercially astute, demonstrated through decision making, project negotiation, pricing and management
- Strong organisational and people management skills, encouraging collaboration and innovation within the teams to maximise performance
- Ability to travel
- Possess proficiency with computer applications commonly used within the individual’s discipline
- Degree in related design field or equivalent certification
