Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union seeks a passionate and dedicated Limited Term 7th and 8th Grade Humanities Teacher to join our team of collaborative and enthusiastic staff at The Dorset School for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year. In this position, the Teacher will deliver engaging, proficiency-based Social Studies and English/Language Arts instruction to 7th and 8th grade students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

The Limited Term 7th and 8th Grade Humanities Teacher is responsible for delivering learning opportunities that develop students' informational, critical, technological, quantitative, and media literacies, supervising and assessing student performance, and collaborating with content/grade-level colleagues to ensure transferable skill development in accordance with district ends policies.

Applicants are expected to know current instructional research and evidence-based instructional practices. Strong candidates will demonstrate a student-centered approach, exemplary oral and written communication skills, strong relationship building skills with students, and a commitment to working collaboratively with all colleagues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience teaching Social Studies and English/Language Arts to middle school students.
