Bennetts Haulage Ltd offers a salary of £38,000 - £42,000 basic plus plenty of overtime for a permanent full-time or part-time position with immediate start available.
We are a family-run haulier working out of Twyford, near Reading, since the 1950s, with a modern, well-kept fleet. Our trucks have delivered everywhere from London building sites to Buckingham Palace and Downing Street, and we're looking for another Class 2 driver to help us do it.
The role involves transporting building materials, palletised goods, scaffolding, and steel from our Twyford depot to sites across London and the South of England.
Key details include:
- Day work, home every night, bar the occasional paid UK night out when the job requires it.
- Mostly Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts, with overtime available for those who want it.
- Class 2 (C) licence, valid Driver CPC, and a digital tachograph card are required.
- A Hiab or Moffett ticket is ideal, and paid accordingly; FORS training is a huge plus.
- Applicants should live within about 45 minutes of our Twyford depot (RG10) to avoid long commutes.
- Genuine progression opportunities: this is the seat our Class 1 drivers started in. We regularly put Class 2 drivers through their Class 1, as well as Hiab, Moffett, and lorry-loader tickets.
- Paid training kept current: ALLMI Hiab, Moffett, FORS, Driver CPC.
- A modern, well-maintained fleet; we look after our trucks like we look after our drivers.
- 28 days' holiday (including bank holidays), workplace pension, full PPE, and free on-site parking.
