Bennetts Haulage Ltd offers a salary of £39,000 to £44,000 basic plus plenty of overtime. This is a permanent position available for full-time or part-time work with an immediate start.

We are a family-run haulier based in Twyford, near Reading, since the 1950s, operating a modern and well-kept fleet. Our trucks have delivered to various locations including London building sites, Buckingham Palace, and Downing Street. We are looking for another Class 1 driver to join our team.

The work:

  • Transporting building materials, palletised goods, scaffolding, and steel from our Twyford depot to sites across London and the South of England.
  • Driving Artics up to 44 tonnes, flatbed, and curtainside vehicles, with regular wagon & drag work available for experienced drivers.
  • Engaging in proper professional haulage with no multi-drop deliveries.
  • Day work with home every night, except for occasional paid UK night outs when required.
  • Mostly Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts, with overtime available for those who want it.

What you'll need:

  • Class 1 (C+E) licence, valid Driver CPC, and a digital tachograph card.
  • Ideally, experience with wagon & drag as there is regular drawbar work available.
  • A Hiab or Moffett ticket is ideal and will be paid accordingly; FORS training is a significant plus.
  • To live within about 30 minutes of our Twyford depot (RG10) to avoid long commutes.
  • Comfortable navigating in and around London, and being reliable, professional, and polite as you represent Bennetts on every site.

What we offer:

  • £38,000 to £42,000 basic salary depending on experience, plus plenty of overtime.
  • Compensation for the right tickets: Hiab, Moffett, and wagon & drag experience all count.
  • Paid training to keep qualifications current: ALLMI Hiab, Moffett, FORS, Driver CPC.
  • A modern, well-maintained fleet; we take care of our trucks as we do our drivers.
  • 28 days' holiday (including bank holidays).
