Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Shift Pattern: 6:30am – 3:00pm

Holiday Entitlement: 25 days plus Bank Holidays

We’re growing, and we’re looking for a talented Head Chef to help expand our Central Production Unit (CPU) operation at Bennett Hay. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a key part of our business and help shape the future of food across a dynamic, growing, independent company. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the Central Production Unit, producing fresh, high-quality food for multiple corporate client locations.
  • Drive menu development and product innovation while inspiring and developing the culinary team.
  • Oversee recipe management, allergen compliance and nutritional governance.
  • Maintain consistency through standardisation and quality assurance across all production.
  • Ensure excellent food safety standards, including full HACCP compliance.
  • Manage food costs, budgets and financial performance.
  • Coordinate logistics between the CPU, delivery drivers, operational teams and client sites.
  • Optimise labour planning, productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef within a Central Production Unit, or an experienced Sous Chef ready to step into a Head Chef role.
  • Extensive experience creating diverse and innovative menus.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
  • Experience using recipe management and nutritional systems, with good computer literacy.
  • Outstanding knowledge of food safety, HACCP and compliance standards.
  • Strong financial awareness with experience managing budgets and food costs.
  • Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Energy, ambition and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional hospitality and food.
