About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team in a busy corporate catering environment. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality food for our business and industry clients. This is a hands-on role suited to a chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering consistently high standards and is keen to continue developing their culinary skills. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive kitchen team, contributing to an excellent food offering and positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fresh, high-quality food daily to company standards.
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen and dedicated client site.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to deliver consistently high standards of food and service.
- Assist with recipe development, menu ideas and product innovation.
- Work confidently during high-volume service while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
- Ensure food is prepared, stored and presented in line with company standards.
- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and compliance standards at all times.
- Follow appropriate portion control and work with costed menus to support efficient kitchen operations.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive kitchen culture.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, clients and customers.
- Support a welcoming customer-facing service and provide a positive experience for guests.
- Continue developing your culinary skills through hands-on learning, mentoring and experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie.
- 1-2 years’ relevant experience in a professional kitchen environment.
- Experience working in a busy, high-volume service environment.
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and compliance standards.
- Level 2 Food Safety qualification.
- Experience with costed menus and portion control.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- A genuine desire to learn, develop and contribute to the continued success of the business.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and genuine passion for hospitality.
- Ability to work effectively within a busy, team-focused environment.
- Experience in a customer-facing role and confidence dealing with customers.
