About the Role
Bennett Hay is looking for a professional and personable Corporate Receptionist to join a welcoming corporate environment in the City of London, close to Liverpool Street Station. As the first point of contact for clients, guests and employees, you will play an important role in creating a warm, professional and memorable experience. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional front-of-house service while supporting the smooth running of the reception and wider office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for customer service who enjoys working in a professional environment and takes pride in delivering high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and register visitors in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and enquiries efficiently.
- Manage meeting room bookings and assist with meeting arrangements.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and professional reception area at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, guests and employees.
- Maintain accurate visitor and reception records.
- Liaise with facilities, security and building management as required.
- Support colleagues with administrative and general office-related tasks.
- Assist with office coordination and a range of ad-hoc administrative duties.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and ensure a consistently high standard of front-of-house service.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in reception, front-of-house, administration or customer service is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A professional, friendly and welcoming manner.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A confident and courteous telephone manner.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Professional appearance and presentation.

- Strong teamwork, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Competence with Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
- GCSEs or equivalent, particularly English and Maths, are desirable.
- A relevant qualification in Business Administration, Hospitality or Customer Service would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience within a corporate or professional environment is advantageous.
- Training in customer service, telephone handling or health and safety would be beneficial.
- Right to work in the UK.
