We're growing, and we're looking for a talented Head Chef to help expand our Central Production Unit (CPU) operation at Bennett Hay. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a key part of our business and help shape the future of food across a dynamic, growing, independent company. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the Central Production Unit, producing fresh, high-quality food for multiple corporate client locations.
- Drive menu development and product innovation while inspiring and developing the culinary team.
- Oversee recipe management, allergen compliance and nutritional governance.
- Maintain consistency through standardisation and quality assurance across all production.
- Ensure excellent food safety standards, including full HACCP compliance.
- Manage food costs, budgets and financial performance.
- Coordinate logistics between the CPU, delivery drivers, operational teams and client sites.
- Optimise labour planning, productivity and operational efficiency.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef within a Central Production Unit, or an experienced Sous Chef ready to step into a Head Chef role.
- Extensive experience creating diverse and innovative menus.
- Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
- Experience using recipe management and nutritional systems, with good computer literacy.
- Outstanding knowledge of food safety, HACCP and compliance standards.
- Strong financial awareness with experience managing budgets and food costs.
- Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
