Salary: £35,000 per annum

Contract Type: Full-Time

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Working Days: Monday – Friday

Shift Pattern: Between 7:00am – 6:00pm, depending on business requirements

Holiday Entitlement: 23 days plus Bank Holidays

Probation Period: 6 months

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our corporate catering team in the City of London. Working within a professional corporate environment, you will be responsible for managing your assigned kitchen section, ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation, hygiene, and service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef who takes pride in delivering exceptional food, enjoys working as part of a supportive team, and thrives in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organise your assigned kitchen section before service.
  • Complete daily mise en place and ensure all ingredients are available and correctly stored.
  • Cook and present dishes to company standards during service.
  • Maintain excellent food quality, consistency, and portion control.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
  • Keep your workstation clean, organised, and hygienic throughout the shift.
  • Monitor stock levels, minimise waste, and report shortages when necessary.
  • Support, guide, and assist junior team members as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a smooth and efficient service.
  • Complete end‑of‑shift cleaning, storage, and handover procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years’ experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Professional culinary qualification or equivalent kitchen experience.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene certification with strong HACCP knowledge.
  • Strong cooking, food preparation, and food presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of stock control, waste reduction, and cost awareness.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
  • Experience supporting, supervising, or training junior team members.
  • Reliable, organised, and passionate about delivering excellent food and service.
