Bennett and Game are currently partnering with a highly respected precision engineering business with over 50 years history who are actively seeking a Quotation Engineer / CNC Estimator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded engineering professional with strong CNC machining knowledge to take ownership of the quotation process for new business enquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing customer RFQs, engineering drawings, models and technical specifications.
  • Assessing manufacturing methods, machining processes, cycle times and material requirements.
  • Producing accurate cost estimates and quotations for CNC machined components and assemblies.
  • Liaising with customers regarding technical and commercial queries.
  • Obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations for materials, treatments and subcontract services.
  • Identifying manufacturing risks, opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
  • Working closely with production, planning and engineering teams to ensure estimates reflect manufacturing capability.
  • Supporting the company’s continued growth through fast, accurate and professional quotation turnaround.
  • Maintaining quotation records and supporting continuous improvement within the estimating process.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Quotation Engineer, Estimator, Costing Engineer or similar role within precision engineering or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, including milling and turning.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Commercially aware with a strong understanding of manufacturing costs and margins.
  • Experience estimating cycle times, materials and subcontract processes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.

Remuneration:

  • £50,000 - £55,000 basic salary
  • Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Friday 08:00 - 14:00
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Company pension scheme
  • Free on-site parking
