Position: Transport Manager
Location: Tilbury
Salary: Circa Β£50k DOE
Bennett & Game are currently partnering with a leading transport firm based in the Tilbury area, actively seeking a proven Transport Manager to join their successful team.

Transport Manager Job Overview
- Cost-effective management of the transport operation, including the scheduling of vehicles and drivers to maintain the required level of customer service.
- Monitor the transport operation and make recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing transportation, including vehicle maintenance, driver training, and safety requirements.
- Manage and train a team of drivers and other transport staff, including performance management and career development.
- Support the GM in developing and implementing transportation policies and procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and quality of service.
- Act as the nominated competent person for the operator's licence.
Transport Manager Job Requirements
- Management CPC β Essential
- Willingness to be hands on in Planning and Driver Management
- Ability to effectively manage drivers and transport office personnel
- Strong knowledge of transport legislation, driver hours, tachographs, and the Working Time Directive (WTD)
- Knowledge of FORS fleets is desirable
