The Senior Tax Consultant will play a key role in delivering strategic tax advisory services across a diverse portfolio of clients. This is not a compliance-heavy role - it focuses on consultancy, planning, and adding long-term value to clients' financial structures.
Job Overview- Develop and implement corporate and personal tax strategies tailored to clients' short- and long-term goals.
- Provide international tax planning services to ensure cross-border compliance and minimise tax risk.
- Advise clients on investment property tax efficiency, including SDLT, CGT, and IHT reliefs.
- Assist with asset protection and trust planning to help individuals preserve wealth.
- Produce advisory reports to support corporate restructuring, such as introducing holding companies.
- Liaise with legal professionals to support drafting of legal documentation for tax-driven restructuring.
- Contribute to business development efforts by helping to onboard new clients and support growth.
- Apply for HMRC clearances and contribute to technically sound, client-focused solutions.
- A recognised tax qualification - ATT or CTA (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in tax advisory, ideally within a practice environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage clients and explain complex matters.
- An interest in working within a small, growing firm with leadership potential.
- Experience in international tax and restructuring (desirable).
- Salary: £40,000
- On-Target Earnings: £60,000-£70,000 through performance-related share options.
- Working Hours: 9am - 5pm (flexible; time off in lieu for additional hours).
