Job Description

We are currently representing a well-established, RIBA Chartered Architectural Practice based near Peterborough, actively seeking a Senior Project Architect to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Director in a senior role, taking a hands-on approach to design and project delivery across a variety of bespoke schemes.

This practice is known for delivering high quality, context-sensitive architecture, particularly within rural and edge-of-settlement settings. Their portfolio includes one-off private homes, sensitive residential developments, and mixed-use projects. They are seeking a Senior Project Architect with proven experience in similar sectors and a passion for carefully crafted, sustainable architecture. The successful candidate will lead projects from inception to completion and provide mentorship to junior colleagues.

Senior Project Architect Job Overview

  • Professional experience within bespoke residential and mixed-use developments

  • Excellent understanding of UK planning policy and Building Regulations
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver projects through all RIBA stages
  • Confident coordinating small project teams and mentoring colleagues
  • Strong technical and design skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks (highly desirable)
  • Skilled in SketchUp, Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite
  • ARB / RIBA registered with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience
