Position: Project EngineerLocation: GodalmingSalary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOEA leading engineering firm near Godalming is seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects across process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation scopes. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from detailed design and equipment specification through to procurement, installation and commissioning. Working closely with senior engineers and the wider project team, you will produce P IDs, specify process equipment, coordinate with Controls Engineers, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to develop their project management skills within a varied and technically challenging environment.Project Engineer Job Overview Support the delivery of engineering projects from concept through to commissioning and final handover. Produce and update P IDs and associated engineering documentation. Specify process equipment and assist with procurement activities in line with project requirements. Work closely with the Controls team to ensure effective system integration. Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle. Assist with technical evaluations, supplier selection and procurement activities. Support site installation, commissioning and project handover activities. Ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards, health and safety legislation, and company procedures. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practice. Provide support for customer enquiries, spare parts and aftersales activities where required. Project Engineer Job Requirements Experience delivering engineering projects within process equipment, industrial gases, pipework or similar industrial environments. Degree qualified in Mechanical, Industrial, Process Engineering or a related discipline. Good communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships. Technical knowledge of process, mechanical, electrical or instrumentation engineering. Experience coordinating multiple workstreams and delivering projects to deadlines. Strong focus on quality, safety and customer satisfaction. IOSH qualification advantageous. Commutable distance to Godalming. Full UK Driving Licence and valid Passport with a willingness to travel.
