Salary: Up to £18.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 17:00 (45 hours per week)

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pipe Fitter with welding experience on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. This is a great opportunity to join a busy workshop and site-based environment, working on the installation, fabrication, and assembly of pipework systems across a range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and assembly of pipework systems from engineering drawings and isometrics
  • Cutting, threading, bending, and fitting pipes to required specifications
  • Carrying out MIG and/or TIG welding on pipework where required
  • Working with a range of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys
  • Supporting fabrication and installation activities both in the workshop and on-site
  • Ensuring all work is completed to required quality and safety standards
  • Conducting pressure testing and inspections where required
  • Working effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter
  • Welding experience (MIG and/or TIG preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and pipe isometrics
  • Strong understanding of pipework systems and installation methods
  • Good awareness of health safety practices
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work to deadlines

Desirable

  • Relevant pipe fitting or welding qualifications
  • Experience working in industrial, oil gas, or process environments
  • Experience with pressure testing or coded welding (advantageous)
  • CSCS card or other relevant site certifications
