Bennett & Game are pleased to be representing a growing multidisciplinary consultancy seeking a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer to join their established engineering team. This is a key hire within a fully integrated civil and structural environment, supporting a Principal Engineer while delivering projects across predominantly industrial and manufacturing developments, alongside commercial and bespoke schemes.
The successful candidate will work within a mixed civil/structural engineering team, where they will help manage and represent both disciplines. Candidates with experience across both civils and structures are preferred, however strong capability in either field will also be considered.
Role Overview- Deliver civil and/or structural design packages across industrial, commercial and bespoke projects
- Support a Principal Engineer on larger schemes while leading smaller projects independently
- Civil responsibilities to include drainage, earthworks, surface levels and pavements (where applicable)
- Structural responsibilities to include multi-material building design and varied structural forms (where applicable)
- Manage a technician and contribute to mentoring junior staff
- Coordinate design from concept and planning through to tender and construction
- Liaise directly with clients and external stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Work collaboratively within a combined civil and structural team environment
- Chartered or nearing Chartered status (ICE or IStructE)
- Background in either civil or structural engineering (dual-discipline experience advantageous but not essential)
- Experience delivering projects through all stages of design
- Exposure to industrial or manufacturing projects preferred
- Comfortable managing design packages and overseeing junior staff
- Confident communicator with client-facing experience
- Salary range: £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE)
- Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 from home)
