Mobile Engineer required. Our client is a leading provider of hire equipment and is looking for a field-based engineer to maintain, service and repair heavy plant. The area they would mainly be covering would be Tamworth.
The ideal candidate will have background experience of working with heavy plant, the role will mainly cover working on telehandlers and roto telehandlers.
Position OverviewCurrently working on heavy plant such as excavators, rollers and dumpers but moving forward the company will only have telehandlers and roto telehandlers in the near future.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on telehandlers and roto telehandlers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment lifespan and reliability.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere to company health and safety regulations.
- Relevant NVQ Level 2/3 qualifications relating to plant maintenance would be desirable.
- Experience in a similar role working on plant.
- Based within a commutable distance of the Tamworth depot.
- Strong diagnostic skills.
- Mechanical and hydraulic knowledge.
- Experience working on telehandlers and roto telehandlers.
- Happy to travel throughout the Tamworth area.
£40,000-£43,860 salary dependant on experience.
- 52 1/2-hour week (7:00-18:00).
