Bennett & Game are pleased to be representing a well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy, currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join their growing team of Chartered Engineers based in Lenham. With a history spanning over six decades, the company delivers innovative and sustainable solutions across residential, commercial, education, healthcare and industrial sectors. Job Overview
- Work within a close-knit structural engineering team alongside two Chartered Structural Engineers, supporting the design and delivery of varied building and infrastructure projects.
- Assist in the preparation of structural designs, calculations, and drawings for steel, concrete, timber and masonry structures across residential, commercial, and public-sector developments.
- Carry out site inspections, structural surveys, and feasibility studies to support planning and construction activities.
- Collaborate with civil, geotechnical and environmental specialists on multi-disciplinary projects from concept to completion.
- Gain ongoing mentorship and training toward achieving chartered status.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a structural engineering role within a consultancy environment.
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline).
- Proficient in structural design using steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
- Familiarity with design software such as Tekla, Tedds, Revit or similar analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and design standards.
- Capable of producing clear design calculations and technical drawings.
- Confident communicator able to liaise with clients, architects and contractors.
- Self-motivated and eager to develop professionally under the guidance of Chartered Engineers.
Salary & Benefits
- £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
