Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing workshop environment, working on a variety of fabrication projects and producing high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication of metal components from engineering drawings
- MIG and/or TIG welding to a high standard
- Cutting, bending, and assembling materials
- Working with a range of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
- Ensuring all work meets required quality standards
- Carrying out basic inspections of completed work
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
- Working independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fabricator / Welder
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good understanding of health & safety within a workshop environment
- Reliable and able to meet deadlines
Desirable
- Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications
- Experience using workshop machinery (press brake, guillotine, etc.)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
