Sales & Estimating Manager required for a sheet metal fabrication company based in Huddersfield. This would be an internal role and they are ideally looking for experience with sheet metal fabrication, subcontracting, etc.
Job Overview
- Responsible for tendering for new business, project estimating, to include reading and understanding of customer drawings in a variety of different formats.
- Advantageous to have knowledge of laser cutting, metal bending, welding processes / fabrication, painting and be self-motivated and familiar with all aspects of the tendering / quotation process to give accurate assumptions of manufacturing.
- Preparing contracts for shop floor manufacture using manufacturing software.
- Build relationships with current customer base and with new customers to maximise the sales from each.
- Able to identify any subcontract requirements and generate enquiries to subcontractors.
- Be driven in achieving sales targets and reporting of results.
- Comfortable in holding face to face meetings with customers to discuss projects.
