We are recruiting for a Detailer (Draftsperson) to join a growing engineering business specialising in the design, fabrication and installation of structural steelwork for a diverse range of infrastructure and industrial projects. Working as part of an experienced design team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabrication and installation drawings for structural steel projects, ensuring designs are practical, buildable and efficient to manufacture. You'll also manage bill of materials and collaborate closely with engineering, production, procurement, sales and project management teams to deliver projects on time. This is an excellent opportunity for either a graduate with relevant structural steel design experience or an experienced Detailer looking to further develop their career within a well-established engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed fabrication, manufacturing and installation drawings for structural steel projects.
  • Create accurate 3D models using Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software.
  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing.
  • Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and suitable for fabrication.
