Are you a skilled, customer-focused professional seeking a rewarding opportunity? We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team. You’ll deliver exceptional service, leveraging technical expertise and communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to safety standards and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend customers' premises to conduct service, repair, and commissioning.
  • Perform confined space entry for internal inspections/repairs.
  • Diagnose faults to repair or replace the equipment with an emphasis on first time first fix (FTFF).
  • Communicate issues, problems, and solutions through escalation points.
  • Ensure customers are contacted first thing with ETA and keep them updated on any delays.
  • Carry out a visual risk assessment on each job as required and raise any concerns with the line manager.
  • Provide feedback on parts used in line with procedures to complete a task ensuring at all times parts are pre-paid when dealing with an end-user.
  • Deliver good customer service at all times and discuss recommendations onsite including service plans and upgrade options.
  • Carry out monthly stock takes on van stock or stock stored at lockups.
  • Carry out on-the-job training and partake in personal training courses as required.
  • Liaise with customers on site as required and keep them informed of any issues/updates.
  • Ensure all company property and vehicles are maintained in line with company policy.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Physically fit for the job (medical assessment may apply).
  • Clean driving license.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and PDA software.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in challenging environments.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Familiarity with the wastewater industry, including sewage systems.
  • Proven experience working with Sewage Treatment/Pump Stations.
