Electronics Hardware Design Engineer required for an automatic test equipment company based in Abingdon. You will be reporting directly to the Technical Manager, and your main responsibilities will be the design and development of Digital and Analogue circuits. Your technical input will require you to have a good level of understanding of electronic hardware and embedded software principles.

The successful candidate will be expected to have:

  • Designing Digital and Analogue Electronic circuits
  • Embedded Software development
  • Experience with using 16/32-bit Microcontrollers (PICS / MSP430 / Cortex)
  • A good, working knowledge of using Op Amp Circuits, Oscillator Circuits
  • An understanding of Low Noise design techniques
  • Experience with using Analogue to Digital converters (ADC's), 16/24-bit types
  • Experience with using Schematic Capture PCB layout tools
  • An understanding of Electro-Mechanical Principles (using Motors, Actuators, Sensors)

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience with using PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers) and writing programs either in Ladder Logic or Structured Text
  • A reasonable knowledge of Control Systems Engineering
