Design and drafting of electro-mechanical systems, components and assemblies. Use of quality tools such as FMEA, DFMA. Revising parts and assemblies to ease manufacture and/or mitigate quality issues Supporting NPI, design changes and the Engineering Change Process. CAD Design Engineer Job Requirements Graduate/HND in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Mechanical design experience with ideally an understanding of electrical systems and a variety of manufacturing processes, materials and components. Proficient in 3D CAD (Ideally Autodesk Fusion). Use of engineering tools (e.g. stress calculations, FEA, FMEA, DFM) with an understanding of when to use what tool to achieve the most suitable result.
