We are currently recruiting for a Demand Planner on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Chichester. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for an organised and proactive planning professional to join a growing Planning Procurement team. Reporting to the Head of Planning Procurement, you will play a key role in converting customer demand into achievable production plans, ensuring materials, manufacturing schedules and stock levels are aligned to meet customer expectations.

Demand Planner - Position Overview
  • Create and maintain item codes, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production routings within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Process customer orders and create Sales Orders and Production Orders in line with manufacturing capacity and lead times.
  • Raise Purchase Orders for bespoke and free-issue materials.
  • Manage component stock levels to support production while minimising shortages and excess inventory.
  • Track customer orders throughout the manufacturing process, resolving planning or supply issues as they arise.
  • Provide regular updates on order progress, risks and lead times to internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise closely with Production, Procurement and Quality teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain accurate ERP data to support production planning and inventory management.
Demand Planner - Position Requirements
  • Previous experience within a Demand Planning, Production Planning, Supply Chain or Materials Planning role.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another ERP/MRP system is advantageous.
  • Manufacturing, FMCG or contract manufacturing experience would be beneficial.
Demand Planner - Position Remuneration
  • £37,000 per annum (£18.25 per hour equivalent).
  • Temp-to-perm opportunity.
  • Hybrid working (1 day per week from home).
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (upon permanent employment).
  • Free on-site parking.
