Our client, an established engineering firm located in the Powys Area, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. The company specialises in process and end of line packaging systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects with some notable companies across a number of industries.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing bespoke machinery and automated systems using SolidWorks, supporting projects from concept through to installation.
- Design of machinery and systems using SolidWorks 3D CAD
- Creation of 2D detailed engineering drawings and layout schematics
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal teams (PMO & Production)
- Providing on-site installation support for design-related queries
Job Requirements:
- ~5+ years' experience as a Design Engineer within a manufacturing environment - Essential
- ~Proficient in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software - Essential
- ~Experience in machinery or automation system design - Desirable
- ~Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Salary & Benefits:
- ~£40 hours/week (Monday-Friday)
