Our client, a well-established freight forwarding business, is seeking an Import Air Freight Operator to join their growing operations team. This role will focus on managing import air freight shipments from start to finish, ensuring a high level of customer service and operational efficiency throughout the process. This is a fast-paced operational role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
Job Overview
- Manage import air freight shipments from quotation through to final delivery
- Coordinate shipments with overseas agents, airlines, carriers, and customers
- Prepare quotations, customs documentation, arrival notices, and invoices
- Monitor shipments and provide regular customer updates throughout the process
- Arrange customs clearance and ensure all documentation is compliant
- Verify supplier invoices and resolve any shipment or operational issues
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and overseas partners
- Support business growth by identifying additional freight opportunities
- Work collaboratively within the operations team and assist other departments when required
Job Requirements
- Previous experience within freight forwarding or import air freight operations is preferred
- Understanding of import procedures, customs requirements, and freight documentation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and carriers

Salary & Benefits
