Bennett & Game Recruitment are proud to represent a well-established and highly regarded transport and civil engineering consultancy, who are seeking to appoint a Senior and Principal Transport Planner to join their growing Fareham office. With over 15 years of experience delivering transport planning and infrastructure solutions across the UK, the consultancy works closely with developers, housebuilders and local authorities on schemes ranging from small residential developments to larger mixed-use sites. Due to continued growth in the Southern region, they are looking for experienced consultants who can manage projects independently and contribute from day one. The majority of current workloads are residential-led schemes, making this an excellent opportunity for a transport planner with consultancy experience who is confident producing reports, technical drawings and managing projects through the planning process.
Role Overview
- Manage transport planning projects from initial instruction through to completion
- Prepare and review Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
- Undertake and review junction modelling and microsimulation work
- Liaise with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee technical delivery and provide mentorship to junior team members
- Attend and represent the business at meetings, consultations and design team workshops
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within a UK transport planning consultancy
- Strong background delivering small to medium-scale residential developments
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status (CIHT, TPS or ICE)
- Sound understanding of UK planning policy and transport assessment methodologies
- Experience managing projects, producing reports and overseeing junior staff
- Confident communicator capable of leading client discussions and technical delivery
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: GBP50,000 - GBP55,000 (flexible depending on experience)
