Bennett and Game Recruitment are pleased to be representing a leading UK scaffolding and access contractor based in Wednesbury, who are seeking a Scaffolding Estimator to join their growing sales and estimating team. This position will work directly alongside the head of the department and would suit either an established Scaffolding Estimator with a proven track record of winning work and maintaining relationships with main contractors, or an individual from a hands-on scaffolding background looking to transition into estimating. Previous estimating experience is not essential for candidates with strong scaffolding knowledge, the right attitude and a commercial mindset.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of scaffolding projects across multiple sectors, while supporting continued business growth and client development.

Responsibilities
  • Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications to produce detailed take-offs and BOQs
  • Carry out site visits to assess project requirements, risks and logistical constraints
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates including labour, materials, transport and equipment
  • Produce and submit competitive and technically compliant quotations
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams, attending pre-tender meetings where required
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Scaffolding Estimator or within a similar scaffolding-related role
  • Alternatively, strong hands-on scaffolding experience with a desire to move into estimating/sales
  • Good understanding of scaffolding systems, access methods and how scaffold design changes depending on project requirements
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Commercial awareness with a proactive and motivated attitude
  • Existing relationships with main contractors would be advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence
