Overview
Plant Engineer required for a well-established plant hire and equipment business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of plant equipment, both within the workshop and at customer sites across the UK.
The split between workshop and field work can be discussed and tailored to suit the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair a variety of plant and equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Attend customer sites to undertake servicing and breakdown repairs.
- Complete job sheets and maintenance records accurately.
- Ensure equipment is maintained to a high operational and safety standard.
- Liaise professionally with customers and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Service Engineer, etc.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, diesel and electrical systems.
- Own standard hand tools required.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Based within a commutable distance of Stockport.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
