Senior Site Engineer
An excellent opportunity has arisen for 1 or 2 Site Engineers to join a major infrastructure project at London Gateway Port on a long-term contract running until June 2027.
This is an Outside IR35 contract offering a competitive day rate and the chance to work on one of the UK's largest port infrastructure developments, supporting the supervision of major construction works on site.
- Senior Site Engineer Salary & Benefits
- Contract until 30th June 2027.
- Standard hours: 08:00 - 18:00 Monday to Saturday (1-hour unpaid lunch).
- Additional evening, night and weekend working may be required depending on project requirements, including a rotating 12 days on / 2 days off night shift pattern where applicable.
- On-site role based at DP World London Gateway, Corringham, Essex.
- Supervise construction works on a large-scale port infrastructure project.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor health & safety compliance across site activities.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants and client representatives.
- Maintain accurate site records and daily reports.
- Review site documentation including RAMS, ITPs and material submissions.
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, marine or heavy infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of QA procedures and health & safety.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Knowledge of earthworks, reinforced concrete, piling, steel structures, utilities or marine works would be advantageous.
- Able to work full-time on site.
