Semi-skilled General Operative required. Our client is a specialist manufacturer, supplying a range of industries with specialist engineering and fabrication solutions based in the Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire area. Our client specialised within sheet metal manufacturing including laser cutting, press brakes and welding. The role is a varied and hands-on position working across production and stores.

Position Overview

  • Assisting with fabrication and assembly
  • Cutting of timber, ply and chipboards for projects
  • Operating a forklift within the warehouse
  • Palletising and wrapping of products ready for dispatch
  • Assisting with loading and unloading of lorries
  • Assist with quality inspection to ISO9001 standards
  • Ensuring the workshop and warehouse are kept in tidy and safe conditions

Position Requirements

  • Ability to competently use power tools and hand tools
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or similar trade environment (e.g. electrical, joinery)
  • Proactive, reliable, and with a positive attitude to work
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices
  • Willingness to support across fabrication, assembly, and workshop activities
  • Crane operator licence and/or forklift licence would be highly advantageous (RTITB / AITT accredited) preferred
  • Willingness to obtain CS Clearance and DBS Check
  • Full UK Driving License

Position Remuneration

Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30. Friday 08:00 – 15:30. Permanent position. Holiday allowance and pension.
