This is a client‑facing role requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to manage work independently while supporting and mentoring junior team members.

Job Responsibilities:- Manage a portfolio of clients and act as their primary point of contact for accounting and tax matters.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and management accounts.
- Ensure all client work is completed accurately and statutory deadlines are consistently met.
- Provide proactive advice to clients on accounting matters, tax planning, and financial performance.
- Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance, training, and support where required.
- Identify opportunities to improve client processes and implement more efficient accounting systems.
- Assist directors with advisory projects, business planning, and other ad‑hoc assignments.
- ACCA or ACA qualified (or finalist with strong practice experience).
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience working in an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, corporation tax, and VAT.
- Strong IT skills with experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage, along with Excel.
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of SME clients and delivering work to deadlines.
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- £37,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
