Our client is a well-established manufacturer based in Milton Keynes, supplying precision engineering & metal fabricated parts to a range of including Automotive, Rail & Energy sectors. Due to ongoing success they are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team.
Quality Inspector Position Overview
- Carry out quality assessment measurements of all the products ready to be shipped and incoming raw materials, including metrological and visual assessment.
- Operate the CMM, experience with Aberlink software ideal, but experience with PC-DMIS is an advantage.
- Take a thorough look at the plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the product requirements
- Reject all the incoming raw materials which fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue promptly.
- Resolving quality-related issues and adhering to deadlines
- Assist the QM in designing an efficient quality system and protocols which can be used across all company needs
- Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records
- Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met
- Guide the production team about the quality control issues to enhance the quality of the product
- Assist the Head of Quality with KPI data and monitor customer satisfaction levels
- Monitor the production phases at various levels
Quality Inspector Position Requirements
- Proven background within a Quality Inspection / Assurance role
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills
- Previous CMM operating experience is a distinct advantage
- Based in a commutable distance of Milton Keynes
- A knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP / MRP systems
- Strong organisational skills
Quality Inspector Position Remuneration
- Salary £34,000 - £36,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 17:00. Friday 08:00 – 14:00.
