Position
Diesel Engineer – Peterborough – Salary £34,000 per annum
Responsibilities
- Service equipment on customer sites and respond to call-outs when required
- Collaborate with the Hire Controller, Driver, and Fitters to ensure smooth hire operations
- Perform repair and maintenance of Generators
- Service, repair, and overhaul equipment and components at the depot, customer premises, and third‑party sites
- Assist with loading and unloading pumps and generators onto the lorry using Hi‑Ab Lorry Mounted Crane and Forklift Truck
- Travel throughout the North of Scotland as required
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in a Service Engineer role, with the ability to work autonomously
- Strong working knowledge of Diesel Engines and Pumps
- First‑hand experience with fault finding, diagnosis, maintenance and repair
- Full driving licence
- Commutable distance from Peterborough
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: £34,000 per annum
- Company van, fuel card, and specialist tools provided
- 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday 8:00 – 16:30
- 33 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
