We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join a well-established company specialising in architectural metalwork. This role involves the fabrication and installation of high-quality structural and decorative steelwork across a variety of projects. The successful candidate will have strong experience working with feature staircases, balustrades, railings, and escape stairs, using both mild steel and stainless steel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabrication of architectural metalwork including:
    • Feature staircases
    • Escape stairs
    • Railings and balustrades
  • Working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality finished products
  • Welding using MIG, TIG, and Stick (Arc) processes
  • Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
  • Assisting with and carrying out on-site installations where required
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
  • Adhering to health & safety regulations at all times

Requirements

  • Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in architectural metalwork fabrication and fitting
  • Proven experience working with:
    • Mild steel
    • Stainless steel
  • Competent in:
    • MIG welding
    • TIG welding
    • Stick (Arc) welding
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
  • Experience with both workshop fabrication and site installation
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
