My client based in the Worcester area are currently looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team. Ideally this person will be flexible, highly motivated, and have a keen interest to learn and integrate new information. You will be responsible for the build, service and installation of rotational test equipment and supporting services and systems., * Responsible for in house build of DSG products and repair of other manufacturer’s products

In house refurbishment of returned equipment i.e., dynamometers, test rigs, etc

The installation of new and reconditioned equipment at customer premises

Previous experience in the service of dynamometers or similar rotating machinery

Understanding of engine and component testing theory

Understanding of oil injection principles

Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Experience using hydraulic jacks

Experience of using machine tools (lathe, drill etc)

Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications

Quality, inspection and detailed review of product build and engineering errors to allow continuous improvement.

This role will be based at the Worcester site, but will include site work and occasional overseas travel

The role is full-time a minimum of 40 hours across 5 days.

Full-time hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 07:30 until 16:30, with 30 minutes for lunch and 07:30 until 13:30 on Fridays
