A fast-growing, innovation-led hire solutions provider is seeking a Regional Account Manager to lead commercial growth across Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, and the wider M62 corridor. The role focuses on developing key customer relationships, managing strategic accounts, and supporting regional leadership within a technical equipment hire environment.
Role Overview
- Serve as a trusted commercial partner to regional leadership, providing market insight and supporting strategic planning.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of around 30 strategic accounts worth approximately £1m.
- Build strong relationships with construction and other customer sectors, supplying M&E equipment, powered access, and related technical hire solutions.
- Support, coach, and guide local account managers to strengthen a cohesive territorial sales strategy.
- Conduct joint customer visits, offering strategic input and coaching to maximise account penetration.
- Operate primarily across Manchester, with regular travel to Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Wakefield, and occasional requirements towards Hull.
- Identify new opportunities across major regional projects and customer bases.
Requirements
- Proven experience supplying M&E equipment, powered access, or related hire solutions to construction or other commercial/industrial customers.
- Strong background in regional account management or business development within technical hire, construction, or manufacturing.
- Commercially sharp, collaborative, and confident supporting senior leadership.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Based in or near Manchester, with travel across the North West and Yorkshire.
